Brittney & Ian’s Fall Engagement Session

Portraits

March 28, 2018

Brittney and Ian were engaged in Wyoming during a trip they took to view last years eclipse. Ian asked her to take a photo, and when she turned around he was there, ring in hand. Whether it was her surprise or the beauty of the eclipse, she was speechless (though eventually, she said yes!). With his family there to capture the moment, they drank champagne and enjoyed the rest of the beautiful day celebrating their engagement.

When I asked Brittney what their favorite date was, she replied – “All of them. From watching a movie on the couch to cooking at home, to a fancy restaurant, to international travel. He is by far my favorite person to be around no matter where we are.”

I had such an amazing time with them this fall at Ian’s family property for their engagement session. Just a few miles away is their ceremony site right off a cliff on Lake Michigan (summer can’t get here fast enough!). Brittney and Ian are just so lovely to be around, and they have so much fun together (and their adorable German Shepard Nymeria!). I especially love the extra details Ian took when choosing Brittney’s engagement ring box. Maps are totally her thing, and he was able to find a box on Etsy that included a map of all the places she loves the most.

I cannot wait for their moonlit reception this summer!
