April 30, 2015
In the words of Justin Timberlake…”It’s Gonna Be May,” so heres a quick wrap up of what this month looked like! Is it just me or is 2015 flying by? Slow down 2015!
Reading – Well…rereading, The Hobbit, because it’s awesome and it’s been a few years. My business book of the month is How To Win Friends and Influence People, but I just started so no review yet.
Celebrating – Easter! We had a great time at the Shorewood Easter Egg hunt, and then enjoyed a quiet Easter Sunday at home finding the eggs the Easter Bunny brought and playing with our new Easter outside toys. It was nice out this year so we got to play.
Spending – Lots of time in the car, I think I earned my official mom chauffeur badge this month, between speech classes, swimming, gymnastics (x2) and girl scouts, I feel like my days are getting stretched longer and longer. I’ve been learning on preparing more before we go out, and to have things on hand for the little girls to snack on and play with to keep the tears at bay, also so we don’t eat out every meal (whoops that happened Tuesday).
Painting – Our kitchen! We finally finished our kitchen cabinet project and I’m so happy with the results. It brought our kitchen into this century, and its now bright and cheery instead of the saddest place in Wi. We did uncover a ton of old wall paper so that will be our next little project.
Loving – I finally upgraded my film camera to medium format and I’m never looking back 🙂 Although I have to readjust to waiting for film scans to come back again, it’s the worst/best feeling! I forgot how much rolling film makes me feel centered and reminds me to slow down.
Podcasting – Since I usually post what I’m listening to and its 99% of the time a podcast, this month they get their own category. This month I started listening to The Sporkful , which is a podcast for eaters, not foodies. So good, but will make you so hungry!
Loving – I attended Mint & Lovely’s Pop of Spring floral arranging workshop with my girl Amy at Happy Gnome Photography. We had a blast (full blog post coming), its always good to treat yo-self!
Drinking – I’m not a huge drinker, and I admit I have to be in the right mood for some wine. Living in Milwaukee, I’ve definitely broadened my beer and wine list, and I’m loving the New Glarus Belgian Red, its bubbly, and is a mix of a beer and wine. Its amazing and…now I want some.
Shooting – My first EHP Milwaukee wedding! Katie & Adam had the most beautiful day for their War Memorial wedding (they will be hitting the blog next week so stay tuned!)
Planning – I’ve been trying to get everything together for wedding season, and I think I’m just about there It’s going to be a busy season, and I’m so excited to document some gorgeous weddings, and of course meet with amazing Chicago and Milwaukee photographers. It’s been such a pleasure getting to know the great people here in the midwest.
Here’s what happened this month in (iPhone) pictures! April, it’s been real!
