Lisa & Tom were married on a beautiful June day here in Milwaukee. Though we were surprised by a quick summer storm during portrait time (yay for big trees!) the sun shone brightly all day long! We started the day at each of their family homes before heading to the church. Lisa’s dad grows and makes his own wine, so there was no better place to hang her dress than within the grapevines. It was so beautiful outside we opted to get ready in the backyard, surrounded by the prettiest greenery! Lisa’s bridesmaids did an amazing job of staying organized and one step ahead of everything Lisa needed during the day.
We arrived at the church just on time to walk Lisa down the aisle. Tom’s expression was priceless as she walked down hand in hand with her father, just absolute joy! After a heartfelt ceremony, the bridal party danced it’s way downtown in their party bus (it was the most dancing in a bus I think I’ve ever seen!) for pictures, with lots of laughs and group hugs. Finally, before heading to the reception, we headed to Harp’s bar, one of Lisa and Tom’s favorite spots.
There were so many favorite parts of their day! I loved Lisa & her dad’s quiet moment before the ceremony where she presented him with a handkerchief, and when Tom carried Lisa to the Lakefront. During the reception, Lisa’s dad played the accordion and played two polka songs and the entire room did a conga line right through the photo booth!
Lisa & Tom, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you both and capturing your beautiful day! Cheer’s to your new marriage!!!
