Ever since I started my business, I wanted to host a workshop. Multiple things stopped me, mostly fear, to be honest. Getting to teach every month during our Milwaukee Tuesdays Together meeting has been so much fun. But with our bigger groups and limited time, I always feel like I’m just scratching the surface of each topic.
I share a studio space in Silver City with my friend Amy and don’t use it often enough. When we first signed the lease, I dreamed of hosting classes and workshops there, but then the year got really busy! One night when speaking to my friend Colleen, we just joked about doing a workshop together. Then it got serious like WHAT IF WE DO A WORKSHOP TOGETHER???. 8 weeks later, we hosted our first workshop together in my small Milwaukee studio. Both of us wanted to do a workshop for new creative business owners (not just photographers), who were in their first 1-3 years of business and wanted to Establish a foundation for their companies. We knew it had to be small and intimate so that it almost felt like a one on one coaching session.
It was such a blast putting together this workshop. I covered branding and client experience, which Colleen handled the financials. We knew how much each topic needed to be built on the other, so we ended with content marketing. Establish 2.0 is already in the works for later in 2018, so make sure to sign up for the EHP Newsletter to be the first in the know!
A huge thank you to our amazing sponsors and vendor friends!!
And of course, THANK YOU to everyone who attended! I’m so excited to watch your businesses bloom this year!
