Maybe I’m just a stationery junkie but I LOVE photographing invitations on a wedding day!
The invitation tends to include the colors of your day, and is unique to each and every couple. It’s the first big tangible detail of your wedding day, and deserves a spotlight! Plus, if you used a calligrapher or artist to create a custom suite, it’s so lovely to be able to give them photographs of their hard work.
When prepping your details, you should :
- Include an entire clean invitation, envelopes and inserts. If you are being cautious about addressing making their way online, choose a blank envelope.
- Talk to your florist about providing extra loose flowers to use for photographing your details. Including fresh blooms is always a favorite of mine!
- If your invite is front and back, make sure to provide two copies so that both sides can be included
Typically I will shoot the entire invitation suite and then incorporate it into your other details. It really is a wonderful statement piece that ties everything together!
